The people you surround yourself with shouldn’t sap your inspiration

Sundays are a nice day to reflect, here’s a thought …

Keep away from people who try to belittle your ambitions. Small people always do that, but the really great ones make you feel that you too can become great.

Have you ever heard the phrase “iron sharpens iron”?

It refers to how only a strong iron sword was used to shave away the imperfections of another iron sword.

Weaker materials than iron would break or dent… and the iron sword’s imperfections would never be removed.

How does this relate to inspiration?

It’s a reminder and a wake-up call:

The people you surround yourself with shouldn’t sap your inspiration…

…they should build you up, make you stronger, and let you know you can be great.

If this isn’t how the people around you make you feel… it’s time to find new people.
